NY recommending children 5 to 11 years old get COVID booster

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — New York State has updated its guidance, recommending that children 5 to 11 years old get their booster shots.

They’re eligible for another shot five months after their second Pfizer vaccine.

This follows the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s passage of Pfizer’s shot last week.

The state also provided resources to find a state-run mass vaccination site here or find a nearby location here.
