NYSEG, RG&E prepare for weekend winter storm

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) - NYSEG and RG&E are monitoring weather forecasts and preparing for the major winter storm that is set to bring heavy snow, gusty winds, and polar air to our area this weekend. 

Snow accumulation could bring tree limbs into contact with power lines. Crews from both companies are ready to respond to downed power lines and potential power interruptions.

NYSEG and RG&E customers are urged to monitor forecasts throughout the weekend and sign up for Outage Alerts to receive updates on the status of restoration in the area.
