Deputies: Ohio man charged following accidental Henrietta hotel shooting

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has determined that a Jefferson Road hotel shooting on Sunday was accidental.

Deputies say that at just after 12:30 p.m. they responded to the Residence Inn in Henrietta for the report of a firearm that discharged in one of the hotel rooms.

The investigation revealed that one round from a firearm was fired in a hotel room while the owner was cleaning the weapon. 

Peter Haas, 48, of Ohio was charged with reckless endangerment.

No injuries were reported. 

Haas was arraigned in Henrietta Town Court. He is scheduled to appear back in court on a later date to answer the charge.
