At the same time, police learned 30-year-old Nathaniel Wilson Jr. was also taken to the same hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Officers say Wilson is responsible for stabbing and killing Toote. When Wilson was treated and released, he was arrested and charged with murder in the second-degree.

At approximately 2:25 p.m. a vehicle related to this investigation was stopped in the Valu Center Plaza in Batavia. This is where police detained and transported Jennifer K. Urvizu-Hanlon, 48, to police headquarters for questioning.

She was charged with criminal liability for conduct of another and criminal possession of a weapon in the second-degree. Urvizu-Hanlon allegedly provided the firearm used in the shooting.

After searching her residence police discovered Samuel R. Blackshear,17. Blackshear was identified as the person who shot Nathaniel D. Wilson Jr. He was charged with attempted murder in the second-degree.

Both Blackshear and Urvizu-Hanlon were arraigned in City Court and committed to Genesee County Jail without bail pending future court appearances.

A second search warrant was served on the business of La Mexicana Inc., Batavia, as this was property controlled and operated by Urvizu-Hanlon.

Evidence related to the investigation was recovered during the searches.

The City of Batavia Police Department’s Emergency Response Team, Genesee County Sheriff’s Office K-9 and Orleans County SWAT  assisted in the search warrants.

During the investigation, polices say there was a "disturbance" between the family and friends of Wilson and Toote at the hospital. Hospital officials initiated at a lockdown as a precaution. No charges have been filed for that incident.

Batavia Police say they have received multiple calls for service in the area of Pringle Avenue and Central Avenue over the past several weeks, including several fights and some involving weapons. Police say it is unknown at this time of any of the incidents are connected to this stabbing and shooting.
