CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Ontario County Sheriff is asking for help from anyone who may have had contact with the car that was involved in the Canandaigua Lake homicide that happened last week.

Sheriff Kevin Henderson is asking to speak with anyone who may have had contact with the blue 2005 BMW 325xi wagon with a ski rack mounted on top that was found in the ditch along Monroe Wayne County Line Road at around 10 p.m. on Jan. 2.

It was located just north of the intersection with Route 31F.

Sheriff Henderson says the car was driven by the suspect, 67-year-old William Patrick Fricke, who has been charged with second-degree murder for the death of 58-year-old Julie Baker

Fricke allegedly wounded another man in the attack at a home on County Road 16.

Sheriff Henderson says Fricke crashed the car as he fled the scene that night.

Anyone with information can call 585-270-6765.
