NEW YORK (WHEC) -- The state will continue to crack down on fake IDs and underage drinking at concerts and bars this summer as part of their Operation Prevent campaign.

And as part of their ongoing effort to prevent underage drinking, investigators from the DMV, State Liquor Authority, State Parks Police and local law enforcement will conduct sweeps at various venues across the state.

"When alcohol finds its way into the hands of young people, far too often it ends in tragedy," Gov. Cuomo said. "Through this ongoing enforcement effort, investigators from across the state are working together to combat this dangerous and chronic problem."
