The man accused of raping and sexually assaulting a woman in Orleans County then leading authorities on a manhunt that lasted hours last year has until Monday to consider a plea deal.
According to The Daily News Online, 31-year-old Gerardo Quiros has been offered a plea deal capping his sentence at five years.
If he doesn't accept his trial is set to begin Monday and he could face up to 25 years behind bars.
Quiros is accused of raping his former girlfriend for weeks at his home in Ridgeway In 2017.
Officers were called to the home that April and Quiros fled.
He was found in Niagara County two days later.
