Pair charged with murder of two Rochester men

Two people facing charges for murder after a burned body was found at Genesee Valley Park in May are now facing charges in another murder case.

On May 14, Rochester police were called to Miller Street for a body that was found in an open field. Imani Williams and Syjesman Brown Jr. have both been charged for the murder of 24-year-old Alexander Powell.

Williams and Brown Jr. are also charged with murder for the death of 34-year-old David Jones Junior. Officers were called to Genesee Valley Park on May 27 for a report of a person on fire near the tennis courts. At the scene they found Jones' body. An investigation found that Jones had been shot and then set on fire.

Both Brown and Williams are in custody and are scheduled to appear in Monroe County Court on December 20.
