PENFIELD, N.Y. (WHEC) -- A local high school is going greener!
The Penfield High School Environmental Club and school cafeteria staff are phasing out the use of single-use plastic straws.
They hope to stop using the straws by the end of the year.
The Penfield Central School District is urging parents to consider buying their children stainless steel or other types of reusable straws.
