Woman charged with DWI after Penfield crash

PENFIELD, N.Y. (WHEC) -- Deputies say a drunk driver caused a two-vehicle crash that shut down Rt. 441 in Penfield Tuesday night.

Deputies say 32-year-old Aimee Kovinchick of Webster ran a red light on Baird Road around 10:30 p.m.

Her Jeep crashed into a car driving on Rt. 441 and flipped over onto its roof. 

Both drivers and two passengers were evaluated by Penfield Ambulance. No one was hurt. 

Kovinchick was arrested for driving while intoxicated and issued several traffic tickets.

Route 441 was shut down for a couple of hours but has since reopened.
