(NBC News) - Pillsbury's parent company, Hometown Food Company, is voluntarily recalling more than 12,000 cases of Pillsbury Unbleached All Purpose Flour products.

The 5-pound bags affected in the recall could potentially be at risk for salmonella contamination.

The recalled lots contain best if used by dates of April 19, 2020 and April 20, 2020.

The products were distributed through a limited number of nationwide retailers including Publix and Winn-Dixie.

Consumers who may have purchased these products are being urged not to consume them.
