In a Wednesday evening media briefing, police say Blake had made earlier threats that he was going to kill his family.

Earlier in the day Wednesday, police held a media briefing detailing the events that transpired from the domestic dispute that led police on a citywide chase after Blake.

At 9:41 a.m., police say Blake went to the home of his 28-year-old ex-wife on Post Avenue and shot and killed her. Police say he also shot a 25-year-old man who was in the home. The 25-year-old is in critical but stable condition.

Around 10:20 a.m., a 20-year-old man was shot on Francis Street. The 20-year-was able to run away after being shot but later collapsed near School 25 which went on lockout at the time as emergency vehicles surrounded the area. His injuries are not critical.

That 20-year-old later identified the shooter as his father.

As neighbors took shelter, officers chased Blake who was seen driving a U-Haul truck recklessly through the city. Multiple officers fired at Blake after he began shooting, ultimately ending his life.
