The active police presence on Garson Avenue in Rochester on Saturday night was the result of a car crash, the Rochester Police Department says.
According to RPD, around 10:23 p.m. a vehicle was traveling south on Fourth Street at a high rate of speed when it jumped the curb when it came to a curve. The vehicle missed a telephone pole but continued and struck a stop sign at the intersection of Garson and Fourth.
The driver and two passengers were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The passengers were 21 years old and four years old.
The driver, 25-year-old Tymese Hillard of Greece, was arrested for felony DWI under Leandra's Law, and was also issued other traffic tickets.
