Lyndon Road reopens after police investigation

A major police investigation took place in the Lyndon Road area near the bridge that goes over the Erie Canal and railroad tracks in Perinton.

Deputies say a CSX train operator spotted a man hanging from the bridge around 6 a.m. Tuesday. Deputies believe it was a suicide.

The man, who has not been identified, is in his 60s and was dead when deputies arrived.

Deputies say the investigation has concluded and Lyndon Road has reopened to traffic.
