Just before 6 a.m. Friday, troopers responded to 390 near West Ridge Road for the report of a single car crash.

Investigators say the person driving the SUV ran from the scene and was not the registered owner. They were later taken into custody by Greece Police.

As part of the investigation, Rochester Police and troopers went to the SUV owner's house on Myrtle Street for a welfare check. That's when they found Hartman.

Neighbors tell investigators they hadn't seen Hartman for months.

The person taken into custody has not been identified.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
