GREECE, N.Y. (WHEC) - On Monday, Greece Police said they're aware of rumors going around on social media about a threat to Greece schools on Tuesday.
Police say those rumors are false and students and staff should report to school as normal.
The Greece Central School District reiterated the same message to the community on their Twitter page.
When classes resume on Tuesday, Greece Police will have an officer at every secondary school out of an abundance of caution following the report of a threat at Odyssey Academy on Friday.
The district issued a statement saying the students believed to be involved have been identified by police and are cooperating with the investigation.
Greece Police are expected to hold a press conference Tuesday afternoon regarding the investigation into Friday's incident.
Police say there is no immediate danger to the students and staff.
