WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police officers are called on to perform a wide range of duties, this time the assignment was easy to spot.

A West Seneca Police officer discovered a fawn in a window well July 3. He donned some Kevlar gloves and set out to rescue the baby deer.

It didn't go as quickly as expected, with the little fawn wriggling all over the place.

Eventually, the deer squirmed back out and ran away to find momma.

It was a job "well" done.
