BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WHEC) -- Police received another report of a suspicious vehicle in Brighton Monday.

Brighton Police say a parent decided to report the incident after a warning note from the school district was sent out last week.

On April 8, when a child arrived home from sports practice, the parent noticed a vehicle parked in front of the house on Rhinecliff Drive. The parent asked the student if someone had driven her home but the student said no.

The vehicle left a short time later.

The family lives near Fair Oaks Avenue where a Twelve Corners Middle School student was offered a ride home from school last Thursday.

Brighton Police say on April 11, a male driver pulled up near the student and asked, "Did you order an Uber?"

The student said no.

The driver then asked, "Do you want a ride anyways?"

That's when the student ran off and the vehicle drove away.

Brighton's superintendent is asking parents to continue monitoring your children's bus stops or walking routes.
