ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A post office in Fairport will be dedicated to the late Congresswoman Louise Slaughter and her husband Bob.

President Trump signed the bill into law after it passed through both chambers of Congress earlier this month.

The post office on Ayrault Road in Fairport is undergoing renovations to become a full retail post office next year.

Slaughter died in March of 2018 at 88 after serving over three decades as a congresswoman in the Rochester area.
