ALBANY, N.Y. (WHEC)— Attorneys are now going through more than 100 tips submitted to a hotline set up as part of the impeachment investigation into Gov.Andrew Cuomo, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Details about the specific messages haven't been released, but the impeachment case is looking at a number of issues against the governor ranging from sexual harassment claims to COVID nursing home deaths and extends to controversies surrounding his book about the pandemic, and his family gaining special access to COVID testing.
The hotline for tips related to those stories was set up roughly two weeks ago.
Chair of New York's Assembly Judiciary Committee Charles Levine said it could take months to determine if the governor should be impeached. The committee, in partnership with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, is overseeing the investigation.
