Irondequoit man charged with DWI, vehicular manslaughter following fatal crash

Police say a man was killed after being hit by a drunk driver.

Officers responded to Atlantic Avenue near Indiana Street around 2 Monday morning for the report of a pedestrian struck. Police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a car traveling eastbound on Atlantic Avenue hit the pedestrian. Officers arrested 27-year-old Michael Roderiques of Irondequoit for DWI and first degree vehicular manslaughter.

The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Brian Daege of Rochester.
