Man in custody following standoff in York

A man is in custody after nearly a 9-hour standoff at a trailer park in Livingston County.

Just before 2 a.m. at the Barefoot Trailer Park off Ellicott Road in York, a man called 911 saying a neighbor threatened him with a gun.

Deputies say the caller threatened a responding deputy before he went back into the trailer.

The SWAT team had the suspect surrounded until he was surrendered just before 11 a.m.

"We continued negotiations with him, Sheriff Tom Dougherty said. "Ultimately, we did take some tactical response to the trailer and then he willingly came out and surrendered himself to our SWAT team. He was taken into custody. He is being interviewed by investigators right now."

The man's identity has not been released.
