ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Roc Holiday Village will extend its run when it returns to downtown Rochester later this year.

Organizers announced Tuesday morning that the festival will start Friday, December 6 and go through Sunday, December 29, a day longer than its first stretch in 2018.

Roc Holiday Village will still only be open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but organizers say they plan to extend hours during those days. They say more specific details will be released in the fall.

Also new this year, a special New Year's Eve celebration on Tuesday, December 31.

Organizers say more than 120,000 people attended last year's festival held in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park at Manhattan Square.
