Rochester's "Roc the Riverway" continuing to gain steam.
Wednesday night News10NBC got an update on the city of Rochester's plan to transform the Genesee River corridor called "Roc the Riverway."
New York State has already pledged 50-million dollars in funding.
The city is anticipating even more investment from public and private investors.
Wednesday night the mayor and Finger Lakes Economic Development Chair Bob Duffy spoke to the Chamber of Commerce about momentum.
"We need to come to a consensus what is best, and it really should be community driven, and get things done. It might not be perfect, but do the best we can, get it done, create more excitement and start with that catalyst, that one project that will create many many more to come," explained Duffy.
The goal is to attract more businesses to downtown Rochester, by making the riverfront a popular destination.
The city hopes to submit a plan to the governor in May.
