In what is becoming a big tradition in Rochester, the Genesee Brewery 'Keg Tree' was lit up on Friday night.

This year, the unusual Christmas tree was made up of 520 empty Genesee Beer kegs stacked nearly three stories high and strung with lights flashing to the beat of various holiday songs. Organizers say it is bigger and better than ever.

"We've increased the size of our keg tree this year," says Janine Schoos of Genesee Brewey, "We've added about two feet to the base, we've added over 20,000 lights that are choreographed to even more songs this year, so even if you miss tonight's event, you can come down any time in December and enjoy this amazing holiday spirit."

The many people who came out to this fifth annual lighting were offered a cinnamon cream ale- until the brewery ran out!

In addition, Genny has partnered with the City of Rochester this year to add Christmas lights to High Falls Terrace Park.
