Rochester City School District CFO resigns amidst budget controversy

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Everton Sewell, the Chief Financial Officer of the Rochester City School District, has submitted his resignation.

The resignation comes amidst controversy over RCSD's budget, which was found to have a massive deficit of about $30 million by outside auditors.

Superintendent Terry Dade has accepted Sewell's resignation, although it will not become official until members of the school board approve it during an executive session.
