The experiences Sara Taylor's daughter dealt with traditional mental health programs left Taylor feeling helpless and frustrated. She was talking, but it didn't seem anyone was listening or could relate.
Rather than complaining, Taylor launched a movement to bring about cultural competency, inclusion, and equity to mental health.
News10NBC's Lynette Adams spoke with Taylor about the movement and a two-day workshop called Amplifying Voices and Creating Accountability Conference.
The virtual conference takes place Wednesday, April 28, and Thursday, April 29. To register, visit Positive Steps' website.
