ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — One man in charge of creating and bringing great music to Rochester is this week's Sunday profile on Rochester in Focus.
Ward Stare is the music director for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. He graduated from Pittsford Mendon and went on to Julliard in Manhattan. Back in 2014, at 32, he took over as the youngest music director in the group’s history.
Stare is stepping away from his post in 2021 after seven years, a tenure only five other music directors in the history of the RPO have reached.
