Rochester man accused of choking woman, attempting to flee police

A Rochester man is facing charges after deputies say he was involved in a domestic incident in Livingston County.

Alexander Gravesandy Sr., 31, allegedly choked a woman on Aug. 6. in the Town of North Dansville. Deputies say there is an active order of protection in place against Gravesandy with the victim being the protected party.

He was arrested after he tried to escape out a window. 

Gravesandy is charged with felony criminal contempt, criminal obstruction of breathing, and harassment.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
