HOPEWELL, N.Y. (WHEC) — A 34-year-old Rochester man was arrested following a police pursuit through multiple towns and counties Tuesday morning.
Deputies tell our news partners at The Messenger Post that Wilber Quintana was driving a stolen car.
The chase started early in the morning in Livingston County. Then, after Quintana crossed county lines, deputies called in support from the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
Ontario County Sheriff's deputies put down a stop stick, also known as a spike strip used to stop vehicles and prevent further pursuits, on Route 5 in Canandaigua, according to The Messenger Post.
The chase ended shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday on Route 5 in Hopewell.
Quintana was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, and several other vehicle and traffic violations.
