A Rochester man has been charged in a Molotov cocktail incident that occurred back in 2016.

On Sept. 21, 2016, during a separate law enforcement investigation, officers uncovered a Molotov cocktail at 506 Bricker St. Fire investigators were called to assist in the investigation. After the investigation, 21-year-old Tyler Alon Fick was charged for the possession of the incendiary device.

Earlier this week, the Arson Task Force charged Fick with felony criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the incident.

Investigators say Fick built the device with the intent of using it to commit an arson, which never occurred, at another location in the City of Rochester.

Fick is currently in the Monroe County Jail awaiting his arraignment on the charge.
