ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Regional Health Wednesday revealed how many of its employees did not get vaccinated by the date the state set as a deadline, effectively leaving the health system this week.

Between the Rochester and St. Lawrence Regions, Rochester Regional said 350 employees, representing about 200 full-time equivalents, decided against the shot.

A spokesperson for the health system said they do not have any information about how many employees each region lost, only the total number.

The employees represent about 200 full-time equivalents.

Now, the health system says it’s moving employees to areas of need and actively hiring new employees.
