ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — We are just under two months away from the Rochester Marathon!

Members of the News10NBC team will be joining many of you out on the course on race weekend.

"The ultimate goal is to be the largest and best marathon," the co-owner of Fleet Feet Ellen Brenner-Boutillier said. "We have a whole suite, everything from children's options all the way to the full marathon option."

Over the next few weeks, News10NBC will show you what to expect. Here's a look at what's new this year.

"If people do the 5K on Saturday and the half or full marathon solo on Sunday, they get an additional medal," Brenner-Boutillier said. "People love their medals so, in all, people would get three medals at the end of the weekend."

Can't do all of that? You can choose just one race to run. Don't want to run at all? You can walk the half marathon.

"We have a huge contingency of individuals who train throughout the summer to walk the half marathon so this is a great way to take part whether you walk run or each," Brenner-Boutillier said.

A team of three or four runners can conquer the marathon relay, breaking up the 26.2 miles into three or four legs. Charles Molineaux, Breland Moore, Brennan Somers and Pat Taney will represent News10NBC in the marathon relay.

The kids marathon is a great way for kids 12 and under to participate in marathon weekend. As a participant, the child will run or walk the distance of a full marathon over five weeks.

It's a weekend you won't want to miss! Register today.

Fleet Feet is also looking for non-runners to support the runners and walkers. Neighborhoods are encouraged to come together to help cheer on runners. The neighborhood voted the best will win some money.

News10NBC is a proud sponsor of this year's Rochester Marathon. You can help us #RuntheROC Sept. 21 and 22.
