2 Rush-Henrietta students arrested for threats on social media

HENRIETTA, N.Y. (WHEC) -- Deputies arrested two students at Roth Junior High School in the Rush-Henrietta Central School District for making two separate threats on social media.

The arrests happened on Sept. 8, but the sheriff's office didn't release the information on charges until Monday.

One of the students is charged with aggravated harassment.

Another student is charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a weapon by a person.

Both students were issued appearance tickets and their cases are set to be heard in family court.
