A Wayne County man who won five million dollars on a scratch-off lottery ticket was just looking for a cup of coffee.
Raymond Shove of Ontario was looking for a cup after finishing a long work week, and decided to stop before heading home. However, the first store he spotted wouldn't make him a cup of coffee, so he went to the Fastrac on Route 104.
He purchased his coffee and five million dollar fortune lotto ticket, and headed home.
"I put a lot of time in that week, I was pretty exhausted," he says, "I'm ready to spend."
Shove will receive his prize as a one-time lump sum payment totaling just over three million after required withholdings. Shove is the seventh New York Lotto player to claim a prize worth a million dollars or more this year.
