After the limo crash that killed 20 people earlier this month, U.S. senators are calling for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to implement new federal safety rules for stretch limos.
Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand say the crash revealed that stretch limousines are under-regulated.
They are asking for an evaluation of how limos are made, a study on passenger protections, and structural safety requirements.
