Deputies arrested 30-year-old Steven Grillone, of Seneca Falls, as he was leaving the scene after he allegedly strangled a 35-year-old Seneca Falls woman to the point of unconsciousness.

Investigators say Grillone broke items while six children under the age of 12 were in the home.

Grillone was charged with two counts of felony strangulation, harassment, two counts of criminal mischief, six counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal contempt.

Deputies say the investigation is ongoing.

Grillone was arraigned and remanded to the Seneca County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. He is due to appear in court on Jan. 21 to answer the charges.
