Several flavors of Tastykake recalled over ‘potential presence of metal wire fragments’

(NBCNC) — You may need to check out your stash of snacks, especially if you have a sweet tooth.

Flower Foods is recalling several flavors of its famous Tastykake treats due to the "potential presence of metal wire fragments."

The voluntary recall includes some of Tastykake’s chocolate and creme-filled cupcakes.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said they were sold in Delaware, Washington, D.C., Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.

So far, no injuries have been reported.

The FDA has more information on its website, including guidance to throw away the recalled products or return them for a refund.
