Deputies say they found Byers in a car at the gas station just before 2 a.m. When they approached him, he allegedly gave them the middle finger before getting out of his car with a knife.

Byers walked towards the deputies while still holding the knife, but eventually followed their commands and dropped the weapon, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.

Byers is set to be arraigned Thursday morning.
