ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)- Rochester native Jeff Sluman was on his home grounds on Thursday in the first round of the Senior PGA Championship at Oak Hill.

Sluman went out in an afternoon pairing and had to deal with nasty wind all afternoon, and while he was at par after 14 holes, he then bogied his last four to finish the day 4-over.

"I play the last four and hit pretty much every shot exactly where I wanted, and made four bogies, a couple three-putts... the wind killed a few balls," he said after the round.

"It's just a disappointing way to finish when you felt like you're really doing something kind of special in the conditions that were out there."
