The New York State Public Service Commission said that it has commenced legal action against Spectrum.

The agency claimed that Spectrum its parent company, Charter Communications, did not meet the terms of their agreement with the state to expand its network to more homes after their merger with Time Warner Cable in 2016.

Back in March, state leaders looked into fining charter $1 million for its slow rollout of high-speed internet.

Charter leaders said that they've raised internet speeds statewide.
