(WHEC) — New guidance from the New York State Department of Health will allow visitors in assisted living facilities and pediatric nursing homes after 14 days with no new COVID-19 cases.
Before, facilities needed to go COVID-free for 28 days straight.
Per the state, visitations should be limited to outdoor areas in most cases.
It does not appear the updated guidance applies to traditional nursing homes.
