Steuben County man pleads guilty to distributing child pornography

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Steuben County man has pleaded guilty to charges of distributing child pornography.

The Western District of New York announced the plea Monday.

Jeffrey Clark, 35, of Bath also admitted to molesting a child on several occasions, which the WDNY says resulted in separate, state charges.

Prosecutors say an undercover Federal Bureau of Investigation agent saw Clark distribute images and video that depicted violent sexual abuse against children online.

When a warrant was executed at his house, prosecutors say thousands of files depicting abuse were found.

Clark is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 7, 2022. He faces a minimum of five years in prison, a maximum of 40 years in prison and a $500,000 fine.
