Summer Meals program to kickoff with Spring Into Summer event

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Summer Meals program will kick off this summer with its annual "Spring Into Summer: Summer Meals Fest" at Frontier Field.

The Rochester Summer Meals program is a joint effort between Foodlink, the City of Rochester, and the Rochester City School District to provide free meals to children. The program expects to make stops at over 100 sites across Rochester this summer.

Saturday's event at Frontier Field will showcase menu items offered by the RCSD and Foodlink with informational booths about various programs and activities for kids this summer.

The event will also feature a WDKX Dance Party, a bounce house, and arts and crafts stations among other activities.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. rain or shine and is free for the public.

The start date for the Summer Meals sites ranges between June 24 and July 8.
