ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — For 15 years, Catholic Family Center has been making Christmas brighter through its Adopt-a-Family program.
The need has grown each year, and this year, the largest number of families ever hope to be adopted.
Ally Ewing, the advancement and community engagement coordinator, and Kathy Grant, the director of public relations, joined News10NBC's Lynette Adams on Zoom to tell us about the program and how you can take part.
Watch their interview in the video player above.
The Catholic Family Center has several ways you can help people in addition to adopting a family. They are also collecting winter coats in all sizes to give to families, and its Empty Bowls fundraiser is going on. If you buy a bowl of soup at Don's Originals in Fairport or Irodnequoit by Dec. 6, $1 will go to the Catholic Family Center.
