A Rochester man is facing charges after police say he allegedly stabbed a man who was sitting at a bus stop.
Officers responded to a bus stop in the area of 1600 East Avenue Thursday at 10:25 a.m. for the report of a fight involving knives and a stabbing.
The victim and two other people were sitting at the bus stop when 63-year-old Jesse Griggs approached the victim from behind and stabbed him in the upper body.
The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The two other people were not injured.
Griggs is charged with assault in the third degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
