(WHEC) — One Central New York zoo is set to open despite the pandemic.

The Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse reopens Saturday, but with restrictions.

Guests have to make a reservation first and admission is in 30-minute increments.

Only the outdoor areas of the zoo will be open. Indoor areas are still closed.

All guests have to have their temperature checked before getting in.

The Onondaga County Executive says no more than 500 tickets will be issued a day.

News10NBC asked the Seneca Park Zoo if it is considering plans to reopen.

It told us it doesn't have a timeline yet but is looking at timed admission like the Rosamond Gifford Zoo is doing.
