BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WHEC) — An 18-year-old is facing felony charges after he allegedly committed a hate crime in Brighton.

Evan Dombroski, of Henrietta, is charged with criminal mischief as a hate crime and aggravated harassment.

Brighton Police and New York State Police say Dombroski spraypainted a swastika, the "N" word, and homophobic slurs on a car on Spier Avenue in Brighton earlier this month.

The woman who owns the car is African American and Jewish. She told News10NBC she had it less than a week when she woke up to find it vandalized.

Dombroski was arraigned and released on his recognizance.
