Teenager charged with manslaughter will serve 30 years in prison

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)- A 17-year-old charged with manslaughter and robbery in connection to a murder last September will serve 30 years in prison.

David Johnson pled guilty to those charges in connection with the death of Anthony Lawson. Lawson was shot multiple times on Lyell Avenue last September, and was pronounced dead at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Johnson will not be granted youthful offender status.

He is set to be formally sentenced next month. A 16-year-old from Syracuse is also facing charges for Lawson's murder.
