Deputies: Tennessee man tried to run people over in Batavia church parking lot

A Tennessee man is accused of trying to run people over in church parking lot in Batavia.

Deputies say Paul Hussey, of South Hurricane Mills, was drunk and high when he tried to run four people over at the Northgate Free Methodist Church on Bank Street Road around on Wednesday around 7 p.m.

Deputies say they also found meth in his car. 

Hussey, 63, is charged with four counts of attempted assault with a dangerous weapon, four counts of reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a controlled substance, DWI, DWAI-drugs, and DWAI combined drugs and alcohol. 

Hussey was arraigned and remanded to the Genesee County Jail on $25,000 cash/$50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Batavia Court on Thursday at 2 p.m.
